~ Brothers~

These are my adorable sons. My eldest, Jarrod, is a real softy and absolutely adores his baby brother, I just love watching them together........MOMS BOYS!
I did this LO for the Thursday Sketch over at Pages In Time..... this weeks was a great sketch by Alda Stevens (Flying Unicorn). Hope I did it justice.

I just love the colour combo of these Making Mamories pp's. They're just perfect for boy LO's without being obviously boy. I made a lot of my own blooms for this LO using some of the great tutorials I've been collecting since the beginning of the year.

First up is the same blooms I made on my "A Fathers Love" LO. These layered organza blooms are one of my favourites to make, I just LOVE these as you may have noticed. They're quick and easy and look fabulous!! Here's the link again http://sew4home.com/projects/fabric-art-a-accents/541-organza-flower-tutorial

I used the recycled mini roses tut again for these but as you can see they're not roses. Same technique, different result! I am so happy I found this tut. It's given me a whole new appreciation for the odd blooms in my stash. I would never have thought I'd use these (sorry, not even sure what kind of flower petals they were), but now look, I just added a little glimmer mist to match the colour of my pp's and created these great fluffy blooms. Here's the link, you really have to try this out!! http://naspinall.blogspot.com/2009/07/new-paper-flower-tutorial.html

I also used Gabrielle's 6 petal rose tut for the mini roses around the "fluffy" bloom but you can't really see them in the pic.....promise they're there!!
I did some hand cutouts from some old pp I had in my stash to finish things off, added some liquid pearls to the edges of the scalloped pp and Viola, all done!!
Thanks for popping in!!
